ELIGIBILITY & TERMS OF ADMISSION

RULES OF ELIGIBILITY FOR MH-AAC-CAT & FOR ADMISSION TO B.F.A. FIRST YEAR (OF FOUR YEAR FULL TIME) DEGREE COURSES IN BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS FOR THE EVERY ACADEMIC YEAR AS PER THE DIRECTIONS OF GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA.

The Common Aptitude Test for the admission to Bachelor of Fine Art degree courses in the State of Maharashtra for this academic year shall be conducted by the Director, Directorate of Art, Maharashtra State, Mumbai appointed by Government of Maharashtra. The competent authority shall devise the system of Allotment/Counseling. This procedure shall be governed by the regulations and directions specified by the Government of Maharashtra from time to time.

1. Admission to Degree Course Bachelor of Fine Art.	Admission to Diploma, Short Term and Certificate (Vocational) Courses
1. B.F.A. in Painting 4 Years Duration. 2. B.F.A. in Applied Art 4 Years Duration 3. B.F.A. in Textile Design 4 Years Duration Candidates seeking admission for the First Year course of the Degree of Bachelor of Fine Art in respective faculty. Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed/appeared the H.S.C. (Std. XII/10 + 2 level) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (any stream) or its Equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate. (40% marks in aggregate for backward class category, candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Final result H.S.C. fulfilling 45% criteria and 40% require for reserved category achieved not necessarily in first attempt. Appeared and obtained non Zero Score at MH-AAC-CAT. Note: Candidate who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. (Std.XII) or its equivalent examination during the academic year and whose results are not declared till the last date of submission of application form are eligible to appear for MH-AAC-CAT however for admission to first year of degree course in B.F.A., such candidates must fulfill the criteria.	Admission to the Art Teacher Diploma (New Course) Duration 2 Years ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidate seeking admission should pass the Higher Secondary School Examination (XII TH in Arts, Commerce or Science of Maharashtra State. Candidate seeking admission should pass or appeared the intermediate Drawing Grade Examination of Directorate of Art, Maharashtra State. (As per letter NO PAI-2007/2/2224, Dated 21/11/2007 condition No.-2) Student must have completed 17 years of age on 1ST of August during the applying academic year for the course. Students who pass MCVC (Vocational Course) are not eligible. Students who are deaf and dump are not eligible.
